What Is NDIS Assistive Technology?

Under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), assistive technology is any device or equipment that can help people with disability perform daily tasks, participate in the community or achieve their goals. This can range from simple aids like walking sticks or hearing aids to more complex solutions like powered wheelchairs, communication devices or home modifications.

The great thing about NDIS assistive technology is that it's tailored to your individual needs and goals. Once you've been assessed as eligible for NDIS funding, you can work with your NDIS planner or support coordinator to identify the specific technology that will best support you.

Not only can NDIS assistive technology help you perform daily tasks and achieve your goals, but it can also promote greater independence and participation in your community. With the right technology, you can do more of the things you love, connect with others and live life on your own terms.

"I first came across LusioMATE as a patient of mine, an 8 year old girl with cerebral palsy was provided one through the NDIS. She returned extremely motivated for physio and I have noticed how her compliance with exercises has been significantly improved."
