Motivating Movement Goals
Multi Award Winner For Innovation
A Physical Therapy ecosystem championing improved outcomes
How many times have you struggled to complete a physical therapy program agreed with your therapist?
With typical ‘at home’ adherence rates as low as 15%, the chances are the answer is fairly often. Evidence suggests that there are many reasons for this but whatever they may be it remains a significant barrier to successful therapeutic outcomes.
With this top of mind, our clinicians told us they would love a ‘simple’ tech solution to monitor, motivate and engage clients in order to help maximise the likelihood of therapy goals being met.
The Result - LusioMATE - a Class 1 medical device and physical therapy ecosystem app with wearable sensors. The sensors attach to any part of the body and connect to a growing suite of interactive therapy activities, grounded in clinical excellence, to engage and motivate users through their personalised functional goals.
Designed to improve adherence to therapy goals, the app provides real-time feedback and comprehensive remote monitoring, allowing therapists to track adherence levels between appointments. This in turn extends their clinical reach, raise the bar in terms of value based care and enhances outcomes for individuals with born or acquired disability and injury.
With the LusioMATE app being available for all Apple / Android devices and smart TVs, it's a super versatile physical therapist in your pocket, usable in clinic, at home , anytime, anywhere.

It was so great to have a very easily portable tool to spice up the treatment we have been doing with her. Thank you for your help with the products.

The small size of the proprietary Lusio Sensors enables the motivation of both Gross and Fine Movement Goals, giving LusioMATE a distinct and unique advantage over most other wearable and / or motion sensors on the market.

If Not Done It Doesn’t Work
LusioMATE was born from a familiar frustration: a therapist watching a young client struggle to stay engaged with their prescribed program. It wasn’t a lack of care or effort, it was a lack of motivation. And it wasn’t just one client. It was a pattern.
From that moment, our mission became clear: build a better way to support therapy outside the clinic, where most programs fall apart.
Adherence rates for home-based therapy are notoriously low, often between 15% and 50%. The reasons are complex, but the impact is simple: less progress, more frustration, and worse outcomes.
That’s why everything in the LusioMATE ecosystem - wearable sensors, personalised movement goals, engaging content and real-time feedback - is designed to overcome these barriers. By making therapy more engaging, adaptable, and trackable, we aim to help every user stick with it, make progress, and feel proud of their achievements.
Positive Behaviour Support
LusioMATE aligns beautifully with the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS); a person-centred approach that focuses on increasing quality of life while reducing behaviours of concern.
Through movement-based play and personalised goals, LusioMATE offers a motivating and safe way to build new skills, support emotional regulation, and foster independence. The fun and feedback of the augmented content help shift focus from frustration to progress, creating a more positive therapeutic experience for everyone involved. When people complete their own personalised goals between clinical appointments, it gives them a sense of ownership and achievement. This helps build positive habits that support long-term adherence to their therapy.
Whether used at home or in clinic, LusioMATE can play an active role in PBS plans, offering reinforcement, structure, and a more positive therapy experience, grounded in movement.
